Feb 24-28, Fred Assam students will be celebrating Reading Across America week with many fun activities and Dr. Suess' theme days.
Monday- "Read a shirt Day"- Wear a shirt with (appropriate) writing on it
Tuesday- "B.E.A.R Day"- Block. Out. Everything. and Read! Students may bring a stuffed animal to read with
Wednesday- "Crazy Sock Day"- In honor of "The Foot Book"
Thursday- "Pajama Day"- in honoro of "The Sleep Book"
Friday- "R.E.D. Day"- (Read every day) Wear red!
Students are challenged to read 100 minutes in school this week. Prizes will be awarded throughout the week! We will welcome any guest readers into our classroom to help us get to 100 minutes. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer to come in and read a book or two please let me know!
Local author and illustrator Robert Palmer & Terri Pieters will share their books with us on Thursday.
We are looking forward to a fun week of reading!
