This Week-

Reading- We are working on the letter W, along with reviewing the other letters during our Reading center time. We are also still focusing on telling stories that match a picture. We discussed that we can all read books by looking at the pictures. Just because we can't read the words yet doesn't mean we can't read. Challenge your students to use pictures in a book to tell you a story.

Math- In math this week we are working on graphing. We have been graphing the weather during calendar time so this is not the first time students are using/seeing a graph. We are working on a new graph each day to learn more about our classmates. Today, we graphed how many people live in our home. We found that many of the students in our class have atleast 5 people living in their home.

We will be talking about the famous story, The Lion and the Lamb. We will make predictions as to whether March will come in as a lion or a lamb next week. Talk with your students about the difference between "lion and lamb weather".

This is also Read Across America week so we will be participating in fun activities all week!
